OU Corner

OU CORE is an OU-Tulsa initiative originating and supported, in part, by the COPC Grant, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and its Office of University Partnerships (OUP).

The mission of the OU-Tulsa Center for Outreach, Research and Education (CORE) is to identify, create, coordinate and sustain meaningful partnerships between the community and the University of Oklahoma that support the mission of the University.

OU-Tulsa CORE’s vision is to bridge and strengthen bonds of social capital and promote service learning through outreach, research and education; assisting university faculty and administrators integrate teaching curricula and research, particularly interdisciplinary research, with the needs of the community's citizens, businesses and organizations.

CORE functions include: identifying and introducing partners externally from the community and internally from all academic departments of the university, create and develop university/community initiatives and facilitate project support from conceptual phase to dissemination of knowledge that align with the mission of the University, assist partners to obtain and administer funding to undertake projects, serving as the clearing house for information to track and documenting data about all outreach activities at OU-Tulsa, and provide support to students and faculty involved in partnerships.
